Lets be honest here, dubs have a bad reputation because when anime first started becoming popular here the quality of voice acting was generally absolutely horrifically bad. Or has any of you watched it in japanese and then swapped to English and thought it was better? Or vice versa?I've definitely switched and liked it better on occasion. I would assume you quickly relate the voice actors to the anime and have a stronger preference to the first one you watch it as. Have you watched an anime in both subbed and dubbed and did you always prefer the first one you watched it with?` Sorry, but people who watch animes dubbed are lesser human beings. I just cringe fucking hard when I hear weebs vomit out that same explanation over and over. If you like subbed because that is the original language of the story that's fine.

Meanwhile, there are plenty of excellent dubs out there but weebs cling to the idea that subbed is somehow better because the actors scream a word that they've heard many times over in the glorious language of the rising sun, folded over 1000 times. Unless you have a true fluent understanding of a language, you cannot understand good acting from cheesy horseshit.

I'm able to tell this because English is my native language, but someone from another country watching it in subbed could see the extreme drama but not understand how shit the acting is. Those actors are dramatic as fuck but they are mostly shit actors. I've had the misfortune of trying to watch The Flash on CW. I don't care how much anime you have watched, you don't understand the language and can't tell good Japanese voice acting from the bad. Unless you've taken formal classes, practiced with a real Japanese person or lived in Japan for several years, you can't fucking speak Japanese you fuckin' weeb jerkoff.

"I've watched over 100 series and now understand Japanese ='_'=" That's some dumb weeb shit and here's why: The most regurgitated, bullshit statement regarding whether subbed or dubbed is better seems to always be that the Japanese actors are more dramatic, so subbed is better. Not so much in the past couple years, mainly because there haven't been any new shows that have interested me, but I still enjoy the concept of it.
